The Muses Symposium - A Report
Our first mailing was finished in the late fall of 2007, and a report published of the results received in the Brigantia
2008 issue of the Mirror of Isis. Our progress in receiving mail from some of our FOI members in Africa has been
slowed, in particular because some of the addresses we had received for our mailing list were either inaccurate or out
of date. We have volunteers in our membership who are currently researching addresses for FOI African members and we are continuing
on with all correspondence.
However, we have achieved real success in our endeavors on the whole. FOI members who have been quiet for several
years are now re-surfacing and sending photos and information. The reports and photos and interviews that have been featured
in the past two issues of the Mirror of Isis, along with additions to the Circle of Isis website are the results of our labors.
Rt. Rev. Deena Butta of FOI Chicago, who is a founding Muses Symposium member and editor of Isis-Seshat
magazine writes: "I have been spreading the word through the lists and the magazine. All Muses Symposium participants
are invited to submit their writing, their news, and pictures of their visual art to Isis Seshat Journal."
This note from Rt. Rev. Olivia Robertson: "I am happy to hear from FOI members who
received correspondence from the Muses Symposium of the FOI. I appreciate all you do. Blessings of Isis."
