Experiencing the Great Goddess
Milena Albert
Founder, Pasadena Great Goddess Circle
Votary, Isis, Lotus of Alexandria Lyceum
The Black Madonna(s), just like Isis, is one of the manifestations of the Universal Creative Force (The Great Goddess).
There are thousands of manifestations. Some of them could simply have different names, such is the case with all variations
of Madonnas appearing for Christians, or the Moon Goddess appearing in the Middle Eastern world with so many names given to
her, while others could be emanations of various characteristics of the Great Goddess, such as compassion, love, fertility,
justice, etc.
Historically, the Great Goddess has always manifested herself in the ways that would be the most cohesive and acceptable
for the people, as they would express conscious or subconscious need for Her presence in their lives. Yet, each manifestation
was unique, just like we are all unique parts of one, so are the deities, they are unique parts of one.
Now, with so
many Earth past lives behind us, we get attracted to particular manifestations often based on the length of time we were worshiping
that specific deity. For instance, in my case, I've had many life times in many different cultures, hence I respond to a number
of them with equal affinity.
To illustrate this point I will use myself as an example. Even though I grew up in Russia
without any religion at all I was always interested in paranormal, astrology, symbolisms and parapsychology. Then, when I
moved to the US 18 years ago I continued my interest in those topics, however they never included studying about deities.
In fact I always opposed any form of organized religion.
My first conscious encounter with the Universal Mother took
place in a very powerful vision in the Winter of 1993 which triggered recollections of my past lives and surfacing of my karmic
contracts. Since that time, Goddess manifestations have been stepping into my life starting with Kali, then Tara, Guadalupe,
Kuan Yin, and Isis. Most recently I received a sign from the Arabic Moon Goddess, Fatima. Mind you, I was not seeking any
of these manifestations, they stepped into my life loud and clear either through visions or symbolism.
Fortunately I was always interpreting my daily life just like others interpret their dreams and with proper research,
was able to decipher and understand the messages. So now I have images of these deities gracing my home and I am sure as I
continue on my Eternal Path of Service more of them will be coming back into my present life.
