Tree Prayer
Lamia Tesenisis
Lyceum of Isis of Ten Thousand Names
I am the warmth of your home
During the long clear winter nights,
I am the shadow in the summer's burning heat
And the rafters of your house.
I am board, table and chair
And the bed you sleep in,
The handle of a hoe, and the wood of the door.
I am the living wood of your cradle
And the resting place of your coffin.
My voice is the whisper of the forest,
I am the body of the magician's drum
And the Breath of the World.
I am the wisdom of the Rune
And the sacred grove that brings blessings;
And the tree ever-green at the center of Midgard
Whose roots connect the worlds:
Yggdrasil.
I bear blessings and healing,
Bring peace and the powers of life
To all who meet in goodwill
At the roots of the mighty trees trunk.
May the forests spread again
To bring solace and hope to mankind,
Bring healing according to the ancient laws!
