I too have tremendously missed our dear Barbara.  Especially lately.  Perhaps it is the psychic connection that she left this plane around this time of year and remembering the phone calls we had during this time before she left.  As the years go by with this work, the stronger we must be.

Helen Berger is updating the Pagan Census that was published in 2003. Chas Clifton, who co-edited a series in Pagan Studies with me, discusses it on his blog.  Please read it and then click on the link at the end of the entry that will take you to the survey on Survey Monkey. If you consider yourself to be a Pagan or a practitioner of Goddess Spirituality, you can make an important contribution. Pass it around.

The Mirror of Isis is enlightening and 'enlivening'. In the spirit of the Temple, and of the Fellowship, the Mirror helps to further Goddess awareness.

I hope you all have a wonderful time at the Convocation next weekend [at Isis Oasis]. I wish I could go, but it just isn't possible at the moment.

As some of you know, I've gone back to graduate school online, and am completing the 2nd class of a doctoral degree in psychology. To help make ends meet, I took a job teaching undergraduate classes online as well, and spend about 10 hours a day working on the computer, reading material, and grading papers. Graduate school—you gotta love it.

Since I'm in the middle of teaching my undergraduate class the weekend of the convocation, I just can't take the break. But I'll be thinking about the rest of you, and hoping you have a wonderful time.

Besides, that will give me more time to get my new (really old) truck into good enough shape to make the trip safely!

Blessings of Isis on you all,
Michael Starsheen

Just for fun, some "Isis trivia" -

Why don't the computers at the Temple of Bast work?

I noticed that a lot of Links pages on websites with info pertinent to Egyptian studies and spirituality have gone somewhat untended, with some links going nowhere. So, after discovering the social networking site, Ning, where numerous web tools are brought together on the same home page, I asked some friends to help me keep the links to all the coolest stuff up to date. In the Forum are links to open source works on Egyptian language, philosophy, etc.; and the Blogs section posts links to hard copy works for sale, as well as fun votive amenities, articles, and sites by mystical teachers. Thus, anyone can help keep the information current, if (s)he wishes. So, please check it out if you have a few minutes:

(Reflections no. 2) I'm currently working on some future materials for Mirror of Isis, writing as the 'mews' inspires - oh no! more cat poetry!
