Latest News from Isis Oasis Loreon Vigne Founder, Temple of Isis transcribed by Linda Iles
This
has been a year of change and reflection. We have not yet implemented the Women Artist in Residence program. This was an idea
that seemed good, and is good. However, Goddess is leading in a different way. The rooms at the lodge will remain open
for use as they were before. Members of my excellent staff will be helping to manage the reservations and arrangements for
retreats.
Our Sacred Tour of Egypt has been changed
to April 2012. As most of you may know by now, I encountered many difficulties related to my health earlier this year. It
was these difficulties that caused me to reflect upon and review certain areas of my work and life. Which I believe may be
a purpose behind this type of experience. Thankfully, the Goddess has helped me through this.
One thing that has not changed, I am spending more time in my artist studio
and gallery. Isis originally came to me through my art, my first glimpse of her because of the housing and workspace I bought
on Isis Street in San Francisco all those years ago. At Isis Oasis we believe in Catma not Dogma. Which means we cannot be
rigid but always open to whatever unfolds. We at the Temple of Isis believe that everyone should strive to find who
they are, and to find a purpose to fulfill that is aligned with the beauty, harmony and balance of the Goddess. Know Thyself,
Know Thy Soul, Know Thy Heart, and Know Thy Purpose as was written on the walls of the temples of ancient Egypt. In the morning
when I greet the sun as it rises in the East I also count my blessings and reflect on the beauty of nature, looking out at
this beautiful piece of land I have called my home for so many years. It is home, temple and life’s work all in one
for me.
I hope that you can come and visit us here
at the Temple of Isis! About the Author: Loreon Vigne is a member of the ArchPriesthood Union and Grand Commander Union
of the Fellowship of Isis, in which she has long been both a member and an ordained priestess. She founded
the Temple of Isis at Geyserville, California in 1996. The Temple of Isis is a legally recognized church which offers
legal minister status for FOI priesthood members. Loreon writes: "We honor the Goddess Isis, who equates with Mother Earth, and has been worshipped longer than any other deity
known on this planet." Loreon also owns and manages the property named Isis Oasis in
Geyserville, a retreat center which houses two active temple buildings, the Isis Chapel and the
Main Temple. http://www.isisoasis.org/temp1/docs/about.htm
